Arab League Headquarters (UAR Era)
This 10-millieme regular commemorative stamp was released in 1962 to mark Arab Union Week (أسبوع الدعوة العربية). The detailed architectural engraving highlights the modernist facade of the newly built Arab League Headquarters building located near Tahrir Square in Cairo, Egypt, which opened in the late 1950s to serve as the permanent diplomatic hub for pan-Arab cooperation. Radiating above the building is the official seal of the League of Arab States (جامعة الدول العربية), featuring a stylized crescent moon, a central calligraphic emblem, and an encircling chain enclosed in an olive wreath. Circulated with an integrated "PALESTINE / فلسطين" title, the issue projected a clear narrative of regional diplomacy, political solidarity, and structural unity across the postal network of the Gaza Strip.
